Squares Of Rome Walking Tour

Your tour guide will explain to you the importance of the squares through the history of Rome and what happened during the centuries in those beautiful places. Baroque and Ancient Rome are still alive in these amazing squares. Discover with us!
The first square of the tour is Piazza del Popolo, with the amazing twin churches of Santa Maria in Montesanto and Santa Maria Dei Miracoli. Via del Corso exits between the two churches. For centuries, Piazza del Popolo was a place for public executions, the last one took place in 1826.
The next stop is Piazza Augusto Imperatore, entitled to the famous and important Emperor of Rome that made a really important change in the city. Piazza Augusto Imperatore is an urban square in Rome, created in 1937 by the fascist regime to enhance the Mausoleum of Augustus.
Navona Square or the most famous square of Rome is the next attraction of the tour. Piazza Navona will impress you with its amazing baroque architecture. It features important sculptural creations like Fountain of the Four Rivers (by Bernini) and the Church of Sant’ Agnese in Agone.
The tour ends in Piazza di Campo de’ Fiori, a popular square with a lot of little restaurants and bars. This is the market of Rome in the morning, changing its face during the night with the flow of young people arriving from all over the country to spend a night in the real roman atmosphere.
