Join one of the most beautiful walking tours in Rome and let’s taste together the famous Italian gelato. Traveling in small groups, your walking tour will be a relaxed and intimate experience. During your tour, the licensed guide will forget about dates and figures, focusing instead on the stories and anecdotes behind the sites you visit – because we know that it’s these funny (and often shocking) tales that make Rome so special. Our stroll isn’t just about the sights though – it’s about giving you everything you need to enjoy a perfect vacation in Rome.
Walking along Via Dei Fori Imperiali, you will see the first mall of the history, Mercati di Traiano, an extraordinary example of imperial Roman architecture. Continuing with the tour, we will discover a hidden gem in the heart of the city, Galleria Sciarra. This is a covered pedestrian crossing, built in the 19th century and meant to be a shopping mall. Its gorgeous frescoes and brilliant colors are a feast for the eyes and a welcome change from the pale, faded ancient Roman ruins scattered throughout the city. The glass and iron ceiling lets sunlight spill into the courtyard, illuminating the details in the frescoes. This is absolutely a must-see. Also, we can’t miss the beautiful Fontana di Trevi, the most famous fountain in Rome and a real symbol for the city. This colossal work of art is the pride of the city and it’s full of old traditions. We’ll teach you a few – just be ready to toss some coins. Next on our route are the Spanish Steps, a monumental stairway of 135 steps. Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck fans will recognize this as the spot where they bumped into each other in ‘A Roman Holiday’. We’ll take a short break from the art and architecture to treat you to some traditional ice cream. After tasting gelato, your Rome walking tour takes you to the next step, Pantheon. Pantheon or the Temple of All Gods is a chill-inducing sight and the best preserved ancient Roman building. We can’t miss the stunning Piazza Navona, the most famous square of Rome, where you’ll enjoy Bernini’s Fountain of Four Rivers, one of the most impressive sculptures in the city. Your guide will tell you the story behind the mysterious symbolism and show you some of the more interesting aspects of the square.
Be ready for a unique and impressive experience in the Eternal City!
