Add some magic to your Christmas holiday with our Christmas in Rome private walking tour! Immerse yourself in the magical atmosphere and discover the Eternal City under the Christmas lights. Christmas in Rome is all about the light shows, Christmas trees and traditions, so what better city to experience the Italian festive flare? After all, Rome is an important city to the Christian faith, so Christmas is a very interesting time to visit the city.
In the beginning of our tour, we will stop in front of the most iconic landmark in Rome, the Colosseum. During the festive season, a beautiful Christmas tree is placed outside the venue, making it the perfect spot for a Christmas photo. Our tour will continue with Piazza Venezia, where the mayor of Rome facilitates a ceremony inaugurating the city Christmas Tree, and many nativity scenes will start to be set up throughout the city.
Next on our list, we will visit the Pantheon, where we will admire beautiful Christmas lights and enjoy the amazing festive atmosphere. We will also visit Piazza di Spagna, covered in sparkling Christmas lights.
The most beautiful part of our tour is the famous Christmas market in Piazza Navona. The stalls vary from year to year, so there is always something new. In the end of our tour, we will head towards the Vatican City. Christmas time at the Vatican is absolutely magic. People from all over Italy and the world flock to St Peter’s Basilica to admire the magnificent Christmas tree and listen to the Pope celebrate Christmas Eve Midnight Mass.
