Discover the famous Colosseum and the Ancient Rome with an expert tour guide. The Colosseum is the largest amphitheater in the world and its construction took 10 years! It could seat around 50.000 spectators for a variety of events. These included gladiator contests, animal hunts and re-enactments of famous battles. There were even mock sea battles as they flooded the Colosseum with water. Together with your licensed guide, you will explore everything you need to know about the iconic amphitheater.

In the second part of the tour, you will explore the Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum. The Palatine Hill was the center of Rome in two distinct periods: the Roman King and the Empire. According to Roman mythology, the Palatine Hill was the location of the cave, known as the Lupercal, where Romulus and Remus were found by the she-wolf Lupa that kept them alive.
Following the tour, you will end your visit at the Roman Forum, the center of day-to-day life in Ancient Rome. It has also been called the most celebrated meeting place in the world, and in all history. Several important buildings, statues and monuments were located in the Forum. Some temples were built to honor men, and others were dedicated to gods or goddesses. Some of the most well-known structures in the Roman Forum include: Senate House, Temple of Saturn, Arch of Titus, Temple of Vesta, The Rostra, Temple of Castor and Pollux. After the guided tour, you will have free time to explore the Roman Forum on your own, as long as you want to.
